Should the Elgin Marbles be reunited with the remaining sculptures in Athens once the New Acropolis Museum is completed?

  1. Acropolis is the symbol of democracy and ancient Greek culture. The Turks who gave permission to have them removed were a foreign occupation force who had no right to sell them. It's like a museum claiming Mona Lisa is theirs because they bought it from Hitler! There were some excuses as to why the marbles were kept there for so long: The greeks had no museum of their own, they didn't care etc. But the real reason is that they are the main attraction of the British Museum and they are not willing to give them back.
