I voted for Colin Farell. The movie as a whole was a dissapointment but at least some thought was put to it. They made an efford and it shows as oposed to Richard Burton's version where they just gave him a wig and a horse.
I voted for Oliver Stone's version featuring Colin Farrell also. The special effects, the music, the distorted approach to the history of Alexander, and the choice of Farrell for the role made me think that this is the better of the two films.
I think that Stone made this movie look like the television series "MASH" but he did at least have some memorable scenes...Hindus Kush crossing, Bucephalus vs. elephant dramatization, taming of Bucephalus, scenes of Mieza...poor script, bad casting, but interesting moments to remember!

ReplyDelete7 to 2! i am starting to feel a little bad for Richard. It's not his fault that his wig looks like a helmet!
