I voted number four. I think he knew that being totaly Greek would not cut it with the vast majority of the people he had to rule. I also think that most Macedonians couldn't see it.
I would have liked to vote because the question posed is very good, but none of the options fit my thoughts. What he tried was to merge Persian and Hellene/Macedonian politics and societies, because people would have learned so much from each other -- like he had. It would have made a great empire, led by the children of the Susa Weddings.
